Half down, half to go

I finished the first side of the photo purse that's currently on the loom. I'm hoping I can start the second side over the weekend, as well as work on that colour portrait!

Otherwise I'm just trying to wait patiently for my mirrix loom to arrive! I changed my mind regarding what I'll working first. I think small is the way to go for the first project. I also have some to prepare myself for my debut on YouTube! I hope my voice doesn't put people off lol.

Have a great day and enjoy your weekend. Hopefully the next time I post will be about that Mirrix :)

It feels like dream

But it's NOT!!!! I was chosen, along with Noreen Crone-Findlay to take part in the
Social Market for Mirrix

I cannot WAIT to get my hands on the loom. The MOTHER of all looms. I have to learn about twitter, sign up to Ravelry and Weavolution. I think I know what will adorn Nandwa (yes I've named the loom!) first. A portrait :)

I'll post as soon as its here. Oh I can't wait!!! Till then, happy Sunday and have a great week

I spy with my little eye!

The beginnings of a hand! Ooh the excitement is now building! :) Yes, it's another photo purse. I bought the majority of the colours at the beginning of the month and started up again as soon as they arrived.

And this is the result. I've got about 28 rows left till the back side is complete. That doesn't sound like much so hopefully, by the end of next week (at the very latest), the back side will be finished.

I'll bid you adieu and goodnight.

The Mirrix

As I was browsing Facebook today, I came across a notice about the recent Social Market for Mirrix on the Beading Daily page. What luck! The deadline is today!! I figured it wouldn't do any harm to give the application a go. So I did. Silly me I first sent the application incomplete. I had trouble and went back to drafts and resent it. Obviously I didn't save it! The excitement must have been too much :) Anyway, I have managed to send the completed application. All I can do now is sit and wait.

In the meantime, I am still working on that colour portrait - unfortunately I can't show anything on this for reasons mentioned previously. I also started on the other photo purse. I got in the colours I need for the back side, so I can work on that as and when I like. I finished off the warps on the purse of the 'hands' (black background). All that remains on that is to join the sides, attach the fringe, and the strap. I'm hoping I can give an update on the purse on the loom soon - there's not much to see as yet!

Tomorrow is a work day so have a good day and week, till I post again!
